Different from most of other 3rd generation poets, Haizi is deeply influenced by the works of Holderlin and Vincent van Gogh, and his love for scenery and nature is more than his love for Me. His Vernacular poems, starti ng from basic elements, describe a homeland with general meaning. His concern for living enviro nment is no longer concentrated in individuals, but the whole mankind. Using the basic dichotom y to understand the world and build up his works, Haizi shows the antinomy of many different affe ctions, and his strong control to enthusiasm and logos. his emotional feeling and experience help h is short lyric poems to reach the top with an overwhelming power. His unique lyric register is his d evotion to modem poem history. The reason that haizi's poems have an powerful and enduring charm is the romantic factors, i dealism tendency, Utopia impulse and his longing for sanctity. His endeavor to build up spiritual Utopia infuse our time, which lacks of spiritual believes, with "soul" factors, leading mankind to a Metaphysical level. And to Haizi, his efforts po ssess a meaning of self-saving..Haizi's return to language finds expression in pursuing of lyric language with true and origin al meanings, deleting the fuzzy language, to reach the rare purity and transparency of languages. H e creates an encrypted language, to help his works to get rid of the bound of meaning and imagine which is different from other 3rd generation poets. His emphasis on language's characteristics, esp ecially the characteristics of Han languages, the perfect combination of meaning and singing, is a break-through to the traditional poem art.
