Generally speaking, there lacks an angle of view of gender in term of music study in the area of domestic musicology researches. It is possible to obtain an interpretation rational or near to the fact, only if one tried approach a cultural phenomenon from visual angles as many as possible. Holding this standpoint towards the musical cultural study, the author has conducted studies to the Han Nationality folk songs in virtue of feminism's social gender theory, from a standpoint of feminism and through an angle of view of social gender. The present thesis made an analysis and decipherment of the classification of Han Nationality folk songs, the traditional feminine characters in the folk songs as well as the interrelations between tunes dissemination and sex mirrored in those folksongs. It also gave attention to the traditional woman's temperament, traditional labor division between both sexes and the significant influence to the both sexes life imposed by the gender system of traditional Chinese society, as they are reflected in the music.Moreover, the paper carried on some explorations on mutual constitution between the gender system and gender consciousness of traditional society on one hand, and the Han Nationality folk songs, on the other.
