The Sino-American relations is one of the most important relationship of China's foreign relations. Only better should the Sino-American relations become but not worse . If China and the U.S. get good alone with each other, they could have got benefits. Otherwise, they could have been inconvenient. From the visual angle of history, the thesis review American foreign policy to China in the past recent 20 years from Ronald Reagan to. George. W. Bush. And having a foothold from American realization, we choose ten main factors which inflence American foreign policy to China. At the sometime, We superficially analyse and elaborate the ten main faetors. The thesis compose of three parts, of which the first one principally review the three climax and the three low ebb of Sino-American relations since 1980s. In the second one, we superficially reserch and contrast the U.S. foreign policy to China from 1981 to 2001. We think that American's China policy have not only successive Character and steady but also different one and fluctuation. By compairing with them, we find that successive Character and steady are principal. In the last one, having a foothold from American realization, we choose ten main factors which can affect American's China Policy, and elaborate them item by item, and expound their machanism, pattern and extent, by which American's China policy are affected. The foundamental view of the thesis are: American two party's China policy have not only successive character but also different one. From the whole visual angle, the successive character is mainly. We find that American government's China policy was mainly affected and restricted by the international strategic environment at that time, and from the starting point of American state's interests, and by many kinds international and national factors, but absolutely not only by somebody's likes and dislikes or party's interests. All above is only author's superficial view, and asking all great masters for good advice.
