The Research Of Urban Ecosystem Health Assessment In Hefei City

With the development of society, urbanization is an inevitable trend of each country's development. The prominent position of city is outstanding in regional political, economic, scientific, cultural information, and national lives. City has become a vehicle for the rapid economic development. Aiming at the current situation of the serious urban lag in Anhui Province, especially the megalopolis's shortage, according to the strategic plan of the provincial committee and government, the development goal of Hefei in the next five years is to build a regional megalopolis, and the gross output value of industrial enterprises above designated size will reach 1.5 trillion RMB, and the urban population will add at least 100 million. In recent years, the area of Hefei city is expanding and has become a space structure of "141". However, urban development is not only space expanding, but also needs coordination of economy, population, resources and the environment. How extensive will be proper for development of Hefei and having sustainability depends on urban ecosystem's capacity.This article aims to do a health assessment of Hefei after researching on ecosystem health assessment, and to expect that the development of Hefei in the future will meet the above requirements or not. If not, this article puts forward corresponding countermeasures according to the specific circumstances to improve the ecosystem status in Hefei city, in order to promote Hefei city to develop toward the goal of "regional megalopolis".The main content of this article is divided into five chapters. The fist chapter approaches a subject on research background, purpose and significance, and introduces the achievements about the urban ecosystem health at home and abroad, including intension, standard, and index system, etc., laying theoretical foundation of evaluating ecosystem health of Hefei city in the future. The second chapter mainly introduces the theory of urban ecosystem, including definition, characteristics, structure and so on, the status of Hefei and problems from qualitative point of view about urban ecosystem structure according to three parts of nature, economy and society. The third chapter mainly constructs index system of Hefei urban ecosystem health assessment and selects the relative data from 2005 to 2009, using AHP to determine the index and standard based on previous, making use of Fuzzy Mathematics assessment principles to calculate the healthy status about Hefei urban ecosystem and analyzes briefly. The forth chapter puts forward corresponding countermeasures and proposals, including the aspects about the natural, economic and social subsystems, according to the problems of Hefei analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively in the second and third chapter. The fifth chapter draws a conclusion, summarizes the innovation and deficiency of this article and makes prospect of urban ecosystem health assessment and the development of Hefei.
