Electricity industrial produces large quantities of pollutants emitted. Among them, pollution problems which are produced by sintering machine tail of smoke and dust and take the percentage of 50%~60% of the total emissions are particularly serious. electricity sintered tail ESP system of Luan River coal-fired power plant was selected.The design, using four horizontal electric field dry electrostatic precipitator whose gas processing capacity was 830000 m3/h, and air leakage rate was less than 3%. Effective dust cross-sectional area of 250 m2, using the same polar distance 400 mm, increasing the rate of dust into the drive, in dealing with the same amount of smoke and dust collection efficiency to achieve the same conditions, reducing the very dust collection area.In view of the emissions standards, in which chimney dust concentrations has to below 80 mg/m3, ESP performance and structural were calculated, the whole dust removal system was optimitzated and its collection efficiency can reach to 99.6%. Finally, some suggestions about the electrostatic precipitator of the operation, maintenance, and repair recommendations were given. The whole project investment, including ESP equipment, electrical equipment and the cost of the installation, was Y 9949000. After the implementation of the project, the dust pollution problems will be settled and ensure the normal operation of the workers and keep them healthy. For the enterprises, it could set good image in society and perform valuable economic, environmental and social benefits.
