Objective: This study was to observe the clinical effect of acupuncturing the method of invigorating the spleen and tonifying the heart on premature heart beat, which in the syndrome of the spleen and heart difficiency, compared with acupuncturing only"Neiguan"(PC 6) point, to find which therapeutic action is better by acupuncture and provide objective evidence for optimization of clinical acupoints selection. Methods: 50 patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group with 25 respectively, the treatment group selected"Lingtai"(DU10),"Shendao"(DU11),"Baihui"(DU 20),"Qihai"(RN 6),"Zusanli"(ST 36),"Sanyinjiao"(SP 6) and performed with specific manipulation. The control group acupuncture bilateral"Neiguan"(PC6) point with electric stimulation. Each group had a treatment course of 12 days. After a course of treatment, a Holter examination was given for the continuous and dynamic observations of two groups of the Holter changes of the patients. Results: The results showed that both of the two groups were curable to premature heart beat (P<0.05), the total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group were 72.00% and 36.00% respectively. The comparison between the treatment group and the control group had a significant difference (P<0.05), the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group. Conclusion: Both acupuncture the method of invigorating the spleen and tonifying the heart and "Neiguan" (PC 6) with electric stimulation had clinical effects on premature heart beat in syndrome of the heart and spleen deficiency, but the former therapy is moer effective clinically .
