Clinical Therapeutic Effect Of Acupuncturing The Method Of Tonifying The Heart On Heart Rate Variability In Patients With Essential Hypertension

Objective: To confirm the relatively specific effects of acupuncturing the method oftonifying the heart, on HRV with the Frequency domain indexes of LF, HF and LF/HF inPatients with essential hypertension,which will give enlightments to choose thewell-targeted acupuncture point in the clinical work.Methods:49cases of patients with EH were randomly divided into two groups.25patients of the treatment group were acupunctured in“Lingtai”(DU10),“Shendao”(DU11)and “Neiguan”(PC6), and24patients of the control group were acupunctured in“Lingtai”(DU10), and“Shendao”(DU11).Then the data of LF,HF,LF/HF before and after theacupuncture therapy were recorded and statistically analyzed.Results: It was showed by t-test that, after the treatment, both of the two groups canbe curable to effect on HRV with the Frequency domain indexes of LF, HF andLF/HF.(P<0.01)There was no statistical significance of the above indexes between the twogroups before treatment. After the treatment,the comparison between the treatment groupand the control group had significant difference(P<0.05).But the therapeutic effect of thetreatment group is better than that of the control group.Conclusion: Both Acupuncture the method of tonifying the heart and “Lingtai”(DU10),“Shendao”(DU11) had clinical effects on heart rate variability in patients withessential hypertension, but the former therapy is more effective in treatment.
