Oil shale is an important energy resource. It can be obtained shale oil and related productsthrough the method of dry distillation. It gets more and more governments and the oilcompany’s attention. ZhiDan oil shale potential areas is located in ZhiDanXian, belong to thenorth part of the Ordos Basin slope. The chang7oil shale thickness is large, distribution iswide, development degree is high, and potential resource is rich.Through the comprehensive application of sedimentation, geochemical and oil shaleresources evaluation theory and method, and the field profiles observation, logging datainterpretation, core sampling, aluminum low temperature dry distillation experiments ofenrollment and tactics, this paper makes analyse for ZhiDan area resources.This paper does research on geological background arid formation environment ofZhiDan area chang7oil shale, according to the regional geological background, Ordos Basinand structure characteristics of the study area, the regional stratigraphic characteristics, andextend the deposition of the system Yanchang formation.Based on core description, rock pyrolysis analysis of enrollment, low temperature drydistillation logging interpretation, this paper maks a detailed analysis on the basis of theZhiDan area chang7oil shales characteristics, logging response characteristics and evaluationparameters characteristics. And determines the research area of oil shale longitudinal and planeexhibition features cloth. The results showed that the oil shale distribution rule: vertical burieddeep in thickness; Plane distribution range, the northeast thin southwest thick. This papermakes a detailed description for genetic types and ore-forming major controlling factors of oilshale, on the basis of experiment and the sedimentary environment pyrolysis of study area.According to several solid mineral evaluation methods, depend on lots of experimentsand logging data interpretation, and thickness, area, weight and oil rate key parameter ofresources assessment. This paper makes evalute for ZhiDan area oil shale resources,preliminary estimates the total resource, and put forward the suggestions of exploration anddevelopment.
