In the gear machining technology, the gear shaving takes a method of gearfinishing, because its high efficiency and good tooth shape precision, thus obtained thewidespread application in the gear machining. In the processing of gear shaving,generally because of the shaving stock is too much or other factors that will appear thetooth top interference and tooth root steps, this need to carry on the inspection to theprocessing of gear shaving. And when shaving some gears with big modulus andlow-number teeth, the positon of the tooth profile midconcave phenomenon with thework gear is always be found in the pitch cercle, has brought a very big trouble for thegear shaving. In order to solve the two problems, this paper has first carried on thedynamic simulation to the gear shaving process, realizated the inspection for the toothtop interference or tooth root steps. Then start with the load of every contact point oncutter tooth, focusing on analysis and calculate the instantaneous contact and bendingdeformation of the shaving processing, unfold the causes for minconcave of toothprofile, and we have this theory that the contact ratio is in inverse proportion to theshaving midconcave error, this provided theoretical basis and engineering method forthe midconcave problem and has important theoretical meaning and practical value.Major contents of the thesis as follows:①The gear shaving was described in detail through the introduction of gearshaving processing principle, gear shaving technology, gear shaving cutter classification,gear shaving method classification and the causes of gear shaving midconcave error,etc.②Use the basic principle of gear meshing and secondary development ofSolidWorks, through parameters of the hob and shaving cutter respectively to establishthree-dimensional parametric models for the work gear and the shaving cutter, toprocess simulate for the process of gear shaving, realizated the inspection for the toothtop interference or tooth root step issues.③According to the spatial meshing theory of gears, through the hand of helix andthe helical angle of shaving cutter and the work gear, establish the rectangularcoordinate system, deduce the meshing equations and the meshing line equations ofshaving cutter and work gear, to calculate the both meshing instantaneous contactcondition detailly. Simplified the shaving cutter and the work gear into a static model, analysis the instantaneous force. Use the elasticity of Hertz theory to calculate eachinstantaneous contact deformation, utilize material mechanics to calculate each transientbending deformation and deep analysis and discuss the two kinds of deformation.④Point at different gear parameters and compare the load with the deformationthrough calculation, analysis the effect of gear parameters on shaving midconcave error.
