As a national manufacturing infrastructure,CNC machine tools is affecting thelevel of development of a coutry.As more and more areas such asdefense,transportation,and manufacturing related to the application of the CNCmachine tools,people have a higher level of its machining accuracy and costcontrol.More affordable and efficient development of CNC machine tools has becomethe subject of a country that can not be ignored.Precision CNC machine tools as acomplex mechanical and electrical integration products,including the fixedjoints,movement joints and semi-fixed joints.Many of them appear in the contact areaof the machine components,the combination of surface characteristics have a verylarge impact on the machine tool features,and some even more than machine partsthemselves.At present,most studies only for the integrity of the machine and ignorethe affect of combination of surface to the machine accuracy performance.In thispaper,combined with the analysis of properties of precision CNC machine tools andtypical machine joints,we take the precision CNC vertical machining center of VMCseries as the object of study,exploring the science and technology issues of static anddynamic contact performance modeling and digital simulation of the CNC machinetools and its joints,we make the solution of modeling and simulation problems ofCNC machine tools designing and compare the actual CNC machine tools with theexperiments.The research on static and dynamic properties of precision CNC machinetools and typical machine joints can help to improve the development of efficiency,reduce costs and strengthen the performance of the whole machine,it improves theoverall level of China’s machine tools.This article describes the overview of the development of the characteristicsstudy at home and abroad, summarized and research on the static and dynamicproperties of VMC precision CNC machine tools. The main content includes:First of all,we theoretically analyze the general classification of the machine joints,the classification of typical machine joints of the VMC series precision CNCvertical machining center and the main factors which affect its static and dynamicproperties,we also analyze the static and dynamic parameters which affect theproperties of machine joints.Then select two joints of them,bearing joints and ballscrew joints,theoretically analyzing the build of the kinetic model,the method of finiteelement analysis and the measurement of the parameters of the characteristics,buildthe bench of bearing and screw to measure the relevant parameters of theoreticalanalysis;while building the3D model and finite element model of the CNC machinetools,considering the impact of the typical joints and through the static and dynamicsimulation and experiment to study the properties of the whole machine,identify theweak link of the machine and correct the model.The specific process is to use the CATIA to create three-dimensional model ofthe various components and simplify them to create three-dimensional model of thewhole machine,import to the finite element analysis software to generate the finiteelement model,static and dynamic analyze the considering the affect of joints and notconsidering the affect of joints.Finally,we use the static and dynamic experiments ofthe machine tools to verify the reasonableness of the theoretical analysis and finiteelement analysis.
