Coal mine industry plays an important role in Chinese economy. Moreover, safety management is a key part of coal mine industry. For lacking of safety equipment seriously, and extremely backward safety management, we can not manage people effectively, as well as we can not make sure the distribution of people underground. For such reasons, once accident happened, we’ll have no idea to rescue the person trapped in down hole, because we don’t know them exactly position. So it’s necessary to design a safety management system for coal mine industry. At present, the coal mine personnel locating and safety management system based on RFID technology can give some very important helps for producing safely and management parts.According to the actual situation in coal mine, and combining the information technology, the locating and safety management system has been designed. Sending and receiving data is realized by RF module in the system based on RFID. STM32is used to be core processor in the system, and network is built to transmit information by using CAN bus. Generally, CAN bus only can support connecting110nodes as well as more coal mine railway. However, it can increase more network nodes and also get more transmitting distance by using repeaters. And that it’s very cheap but strong ability in preventing interference, etc. For being not match in electric level between CAN bus and RS232, so it’s necessary to use data converting interface when data is transmitted from CAN bus to upper computer. It can convert data form from CAN bus to be RS232. Then data information can be collected, processed, and saved by upper computer management software, after data being transmitted to upper computer by RFID system.The main work was completed in the dissertation as follows:STM32microprocessor based on ARM Cortex-M3is used in the system. Combining RFID and CAN bus technology, the RF tag and card reader which worked on frequency915MHz is designed. At the same time, the design of the hardware and software, system test and staff information management system using database technology and Visual Basic have been completed.Figure [49] table [7] reference [46]...
