In the modern society, chiral technology has a rapid development and graduallyenters into industrialization. Dozens of kinds of pesticides, spice, food additives, insectsex pheromones, chiral drugs and intermediates have been produced. Actually, moreand more new asymmetric reactions and asymmetric catalysts have been found andapplied. And various papers, monographs and journals are successionally published. And many scientists have won the Nobel Prize in chemistry. As a matter of fact, chiralchromatographic separation is playing a vital role in the technology ofchromatographic separation, which is being widely studied by researchers in differentcountries and commonly used in chemistry, biology, medicine and many otherindustries and fields. In this article, several hydrogen-containing polysiloxanes were synthesized, as theirmolecular weights and active hydrogen contents were measured and calculatedsuccessively. As a result, the optimum one was selected for the following reactions.Later, six chiral unsaturated amides were synthesized with two kinds of amines used aschiral pool and three kinds of acyl chlorides, and were characterized and conformed bymelting point determination, optical activity measuring, elemental analysis, IR and1HNMR spectrum. Additionally, six chiral unsaturated esters were synthesized with twokinds of alcohols used as chiral pool and three kinds of unsaturated acids, and werecharacterized and conformed by optical activity measuring, elemental analysis, IR and1H NMR spectrum. At the end of our study, we chose several typical products to graftedwith the optimum hydrogen-containing polysiloxane by hydrosilylation to preparepolysiloxane chiral stationary phases, as their structures were conformed by IR spectra.Actually, the application of chiral technology is mostly just in the synthetic stagein laboratory. So that its synthesis mechanism and different functions in differentaspects still need to be developed and improved, which calls for the lasting study andgreat efforts of scientific researchers in the long run.
