The straightening of steel pipes is an important process. After rolling, welding and heat treatment, the pipe is bending along the axis and cross-section elliptical error usually. In the pipe finishing process, the general use of oblique roller straightening machine to eliminate these defects. But there are many factors affect the precision of the straightening machine. The process are under the operator’s experience. These factors will reduce the precision of the straightening machine. This paper is mainly on the12rollers pipe straightening machine of Ningxia Orient Tantalum industry CO., LTD’s production line. Analysis the deformation and the possible effects of roll gaps of the three kinds of frame by finite element analysis software. Use SolidWorks to build three-dimensional model of the frame.Calculate Maximum work load as the work force, and get the deformation of the frame by finite element method. ANSYS give the deformation and stress map of each frame part, and we can find the stress and displacement distribution of the frame. This paper give some advice on how to use the frame to ensure the accuracy of straightening.Straightening process is a complex nonlinear problem which can be simulated by finite element software. Science and technology workers in our country do some efforts to continuously improve and enrich the theory of straightening, but many theoretical and computational limitations in the experimental conditions are very difficult to be confirmed. ANSYS can give the relationship between the press amount and the straightening force. Pipes go through rollers and give the force of pipes, to find the differences between theory and practical situation.
