| Taking the gauge control system for1450mm tandem cold mill as research object, the gauge control strategy was lucubrated. The gauge control strategy which has good performance is indicated by the site application result. The main work is as follows:(1) Based on P-h curve during strip rolling, the gauge deviation caused by initial gap, stand rigidity, entry strip thickness and resistance of strip deformation were analyzed, and gauge control method included gap adjustement, tension adjustment and rolling speed adjustment were describled.(2) The application of hydraulic gap control technology in tandem cold mill was investigated. With accurate gap and rolling force closed loop control, the excellent positioning accuracy of roll gap presetting and wonderful dynamic performance in rolling process are achieved by hydraulic gap control system.(3) The basic gauge control system included feed forward AGC, mass flow AGC and monitoring AGC were represented, and the1450mm tandem cold mill gauge control strategy was detailed described. The gauge control modes of foreside stands included conventional mass flow control and advanced mass flow control, and the three gauge control modes of last stand included A, B and C, were analyzed deeply. Finally, an integrated tandem cold mill gauge control system was established. The monitoring AGC in cold rolling process was simulated, and the control performance comparison between conventional monitoring AGC and monitoring AGC with Smith predictor were given.(4) Taking mill plant technology and equipment condition into account, the hardware configurations and software functions of the computer control system were mainly introduced, and the HMI system used for monitoring the rolling process was presentation. Combinning with actual application curves, the control performance of the gauge control system was comprehensive analyzed and evaluated. |
