The ply layer of tire is the main force structure of the tire to guarantee its strength and the dimensional stability when pressured. It can be said that ply layer is the core of tire and its quality has a very large impact on tire. Since the production of steel cord calender is the ply layer, calender production line is one of the key steps for the tire production of tire and has an extremely important impact on the quality of tire. Thus, this article focuses on steel cord calendaring lines of a rubber machinery manufacturing enterprise and designs an efficient and sophisticated automation control system according to the technological requirements and production processes of the production lines.The first section briefly introduces the background information of steel cord calender production line and compares it with domestic and foreign steel cord calender with relatively mature technology. Secondly, this article describes the structure of the tire and tire production process, highlighting the significance of the ply layer on tire, and has made a detailed analysis on the operational principle of all devices on the steel cord calendaring line. Thirdly, calender electrical control system is designed based on process requirements, including structure and configuration of the control network and the various types of motor drive system design. The last section illustrates the control core of this production line-PLC control system, including the PLC component selection and program design and human-machine interaction and interface design of touch screen and IPC.After PLC program design and human-machine interface design is complete, the entire production line has been debugged. By monomer debugging and integral debugging, the entire production line can fully complete the manual operation, partial automatic operation as well as full range of automatic operation. Meanwhile, the human-machine interface can also perform well, meeting the process requirements.
