During the CNC milling process, feed rate is choosed as the feed rate throughout theprocess for the change of the margin in a traditional way. But the CNC machine tools cannot be took in a full advantage way at the same time. So it’s even not conducive toimprove the processing efficiency. In order to solve the problem,adaptive control system toobtain costant cutting force should be developed.The adaptive machining CNC milling system is implemented as followsDynamometer is used to real time measure the cutting force,which compared with thereference cutting force.The compared result is used to establish the processing model andpole placement controller that can be used to calculate the feed rate of the actuator. Somake sure that Milling load have the stability of the reference level of milling and ensurethat the efficiency of CNC machining is maximized, the machine and tools are protectedeffectively, and to some extent, the machining accuracy is improved. The main work of thispaper is as follows:(1) The comprehensive plan of the systemTo realize the target of the subject,make the comprehensive plan of the system,confinethe working process and the composed modules.(2)The parameter identification of the process of the CNCMilling process is a multi-factor, extremely complex, time-varying, nonlinearprocess.we established the form of the model by simplifying the model.Focus on the modelparameter of the process of the CNC, analyze the arithmetic of the least-squares by takingthe least-squares as the methods of the identification of the parameter, then write thecorresponding programs,and verify the arithmetic by some examples.(3)The study on themethods of the milling force controlMake use of the methods of pole placement to control the milling force,analyze thearithmetic,make use of the VC++language to write the corresponding modules of poleplacement.(4)Developing and testing the control systemsDevelop the adaptive control software in use of VC++language, the system isconstructed of the identification of the least-squares and the pole placement.the functional modules can realize the integration with the CNC system easily.We can do the simulationof the software by use of the model of milling force.
