Research On The Domino Effect Of Oil And Gas Pipeline Accidents

By the acceleration of urbanization and the widespread use of petroleum andnatural gas, the petroleum industries in China have been paid more and moreattentions. Also by the frequency accidents of oil and gas pipeline, its safetyissues were focus on and become a social topic. Yi-proliferation of oil, naturalgas burns easily and other characteristics, as well as China’s big population andpipeline are usually near to the residential areas. Under the influence of the oiland gas pipeline accident, it is easily causing a chain of accidents as dominoeffects. It produces more serious consequences than just once accident. So theDomino effect of pipeline accidents of oil and gas were being researchedfollowing these aspects.（1）Using fault tree analysis technology to identify the risk source of oilgas pipeline accident and calculate initial probability of oil and gas pipelineaccidents as data base for the domino scene.（2）Hydrocarbon-based gas pipeline accident type and environmentalconditions of the accident point, the use of the pool fire, jet fire and explosionconsequences of the three types of accidents computational model to quantify theseverity of the accident, casualties and property losses;（3）According to characteristics of the evolution of a domino effect of oiland gas pipeline accidents, the domino effect of the oil and gas pipeline accidentanalysis model: the two aspects, the domino effect in the target device isdamaged from the heat radiation, overpressure, given the rapid effective based onan empirical basis accident probability calculation model and the domino sceneprobability formula;（4）And the domino effect of the Accounting Research and the existingnational standards and line regulation established oil and gas pipelinesurrounding environment to provide quantitative and qualitative basis, the domino accident prevention and control;（5）characteristics of the domino effect of oil and gas pipeline accidents,lower oil and gas pipeline accidents measures of the probability of a Dominoeffect has occurred.This article studies the consequences of oil and gas pipeline accidents byDomino effect. The Domino effect is introduced into the accident consequenceanalysis and taking qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the interactionbetween each impact unit to calculate the initial and secondary accident ofoverall consequences to make the research being objectivity.
