Open CNC system is an inevitable trend in the nowadays development ofnumerical control technology. This article focuses on CNC system hardware andsoftware under Windows XP has carried on the research and design.This paper adopted the "PC+motion controller"(with PMAC) hardwarestructure of the form, System software is divided into PC control software and motioncontroller driver software two parts.In view of the lathe system implementationprocess, the main problem, in this paper, detailed research in the following severalaspects:(1) This paper analyzes the current research on open CNC system present situationand development trend, Compare several numerical control system structure,Established the "PC+with PMAC motion controller architecture is more in linewith the actual situation, Based on the PC, using powerful with PMAC motioncontroller to perform machine tool motion control and parameter adjustment, Aswell as other auxiliary control.(2) This paper designed the hardware architecture based on with PMAC CNC system,From the hardware, the thorough analysis the structure with PMAC motioncontroller, With PMAC motion controller and PC connection between the PC,complete the host PC and real-time data transmission with PMAC motioncontroller, double port RAM (DPRAM) communication methods, selection ofmachine tool detection unit.(3) Using VC++powerful programming and application development advantage,Successfully developed out of the lathe system, user operation interface, Includewith PMAC initialization module, human-computer interaction module,management module, parameters setting module, the program download module,the automatic processing function module, etc. Using VC++, the Delta TauPEWIN debugging software and PtalkDT controls provided by the company to build a complete software system, Good for PC host PC and lower machine withPMAC motion controller quickly between the two-way data transmission andexchange, Good coordination of the movement control of each axis.(4) Finally, based on the debugging with PMAC lathe numerical control system. Usewith PMAC to provide "PID+velocity/acceleration+NOTCH filtering " controlloop algorithm, Effective control algorithm for numerical control system stability,fast response and control precision is improved, Together with value setting thePID parameter of the numerical control system and feedforward coefficient, goodcontrol performance of the system was optimized.
