Objective:To investigate training needs and current situations of employees of CDC,hospitals and community health service centers at all levels in Zhejiang province, providing scientific basis for the development of training project.Methods:4380self-designed questionnaires of current situations and demand for training were sent to employees of CDC,and3891of them were collected. This study conducted among79CDCs118hospitals and340community health service centers in Zhejiang Province. Epidata and SPSS17.0were used in the analysis of statistics.Chi-square test was used in comparison between groups, and multi-logistic regression analysis was used to the assessment of training effectiveness and needs.Results:The average age of3891professionals investigated was37.3±9.4.Among them,65.87percent people’tenure was less than ten years,48.04percent person was undergraduate, and45.53percent person was primary title.89.7percent were health technical personnel in total and half percent were preventive medicine specialty. Also it varied in different institutions, for example, medical and nursing professionals dominated in hospitals.The most popular training method was classroom teaching, and the trainees with poor education tended to enjoy it. The satisfaction index of case study was in proportion to education. Provincial continuing education programs ranked first in general satisfaction.National continuing education programs achieved the best effect, while academic education was the worst.95.43percent of the respondent was in need of training. The title and degree are higher, the greater the desire. Two or three days was considered to be proper by53.12percent person, and the demanding time of community health centers and hospitals was longer than that of CDCs.The demand for training in the aspect of professional knowledge focused on field investigation and manipulation, communicable diseases control and prevention and data mining. Multi-logistic regression analysis indicated that people without post, management and health technical title in hospitals or provincial institutions got fewer opportunities to be trained.Workers in hospitals and community health service centers preferred class teaching.And females in municipal institutions below had a higher assessment on effectiveness of business training. Also females in hospitals and community health service centers benefited much more from business training.Conclusion:Generally speaking, employees of CDC,health care organizations and community health service centers in Zhejiang province were at low lever in the aspect of title and education. And they were satisfied with training in total,also it is necessary to design the content and form according to targeted participants. |
