Meta-analysis Of The Efficacy Of Bronchial Thermoplasty In Patients With Asthma

Objective：To review the effects of bronchial thermoplasty in adultpatients with asthma,which can do some help for clinical application andrelevant treatments.Methods：Prospective raildomized trials were recruited from PubMed，Embase，OVID database,web of Science，Chinese Biological Medicinedatabase(CBMdisc)，China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)，andWanfang database were combined and analyzed with RevMan4．3．2toevaluate the effect and security of bronchial theroplasty t in adult patientswith asthma．Results1.Six papers were met inclusion criteria included out of1525papers,which contain749patients in reserach,24cases were lost orfollowed-up.2.Compared to the placebo group， AQLQ score improved [WMD0.47，95％CI0.30～0.65，Z=5.37，P＜0.00001]，ACQ score improved [WMD0.93，95％CI为-0.50～0.19，Z=4.38，P＜0.0001]；Symptom-Free-Daysimproved [WMD23.61，95％CI14.91～32.31,Z=5.32，P＜0.00001]；amPEF improved[WMD27，95％CI17.71～36.84，Z=5.38,P＜0.00001]; 3.One RCT reasearch on methacholine PC20doublings of asthma patients，the results demonstrated that BT versus Control: Year1:1.53±2.29vs1.00±2.46, p=0.378; Year2:1.21±2.99vs-0.47±2.31, p=0.024; Year3:1.31±2.96vs-0.44±2.27, p=0.025).Conclusion Bronchial thermoplasty can improve the quality of life ofpatients with asthma and lung ventilation and also might reduce asthmapatients for clinical attack and airway hyperresponsiveness.
