| Objective Studies the chemical constituents and bioactivities from the roots of Stellerachamaejasme L.,provide a basis on formulating the Concocted specification of Stellerachamaejasme L. products. Methods In this experiment, the root of Mongolian Drug Stellerachamaejasme as raw material, the n-butanol extraction was studied systematically. Thecompounds were separated and purified by various column chromatography (silicagelã€Sephadex LH-20ã€macroporous resin DS-401,etc.), the structures were identified by spectralanalysis; in vitro biological activity from the six compounds isolated and different extracts(ethanol, n-butanol),which were of Stellera chamaejasme L. and its products (dairy,decoction products) was studied by MTT and Cylinder-plate method; compare the differentchemical constituents between Stellera chamaejasme and processed Stellera chamaejasme byTLC, detect specific elements of content changes occurred and solvent site existed, study theeffect of different process methods on the content of chemical constituent. Results Sixphenylpropanoid compounds were isolated from N-butanol extraction site and identified asO-[β-D-xylopyranosyl (1→6)β-D-glucopyranosyl]7-hydroxycoumarin (â… ), sinapylalcho1,3′-di-O-β-D–glucopyranoside(â…¡), syringin(Ⅲ),lariciresinol4,4′-O-bis-β-D-glucopyranoside(â…£),pinoresinol4,4′-O-bis-β-D-glucopyranoside (â…¤) and syringaresinoldi-O-β-D–glucopyranoside (â…¥);Compounds â…£, â…¥ were isolated fromthe plant for the firsttime. Ethanol extracts of Stellera chamaejasme L. has cytotoxicity, significant antitumoreffect and antibacterial effect;ethanol and n-butanol extractions of Stellera chamaejasme L.products,including dairy products and decoction products, have no cytotoxicity. The former has abetter antitumor effect, antimicrobial effect is not obvious; the latter has good antibacterial, anti-tumor effect is not obvious; six compounds isolated have no cell toxicity, nor show a clearanitumor effect and antibacterial effect. Contents of compounds â… , â…¢ of processedStellerachamaejasme are decreased, the same spots were not detected in processed Stellerachamaejasme and compoundsâ… , â…¢ as reference substances.Conclusion Six compounds haveno cell toxicity, antitumor effect and antibacterial effect, therefore, this article does notidentify toxic and active ingredients of Stellera chamaejasme L., pending further study.Ethanol and n-butanol extractions of Stellera chamaejasme L. products reduce toxicity andretain the activity. Different processing methods that have characterized the efficacy found atheoretical basis on clinical treatment. |
