Objective:According to the basic theory and treatment based on syndrome differentiation of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and on the basis of the superposition mechanism of acupoints and meridians on drug efficacy, this study combine drugs and acupoints to treat chronic fatigue syndrome(CFS) patients with syndrome of qi-blood deficiency. This is multicenter RCT study aims to observe the effect of "Qiang-shen-bao-jian point plaster" applying to Shenque Point (CV8) on the immune function of CFS patients with syndrome of qi-blood deficiency, thus provides experimental evidence for clinical application of the point plaster.Methods:78cases from3centers were randomly divided into transdermal patch group and sham transdermal patch group. The transdermal patch group was treated with"transdermal patch"applying to Shenque Point, one patch a day, once every other one day,15times in total. The sham transdermal patch group was treated with"sham transdermal patch"applying to Shenque Point, one patch a day, once every other one day,15times in total. Serum IgA, IgM, IgG, complement C3,C4as well as natural killer(NK) cell were observed before and after treatment, and compared with the other group. Results:After continuous15times of treatment, the C3and C4level of the treatment group were higher than that in pretherapy status (P<0.05); There was no significant difference in IgA, IgM, IgG and NK cell level before and after treatment (P>0.05). After treatment, the C3and C4level of the treatment group were higher than that of the control group with significant difference (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in terms of IgA, IgG, IgM and NK cell level between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:"Qiang-shen-bao-jian point plaster"applying to Shenque Point through transdermal way can significantly elevate C3and C4level, but has little influence on the IgA, IgG, IgM and NK cell level. The results suggest that "Qiang-shen-bao-jian point plaster"transdermal patch applying to Shenque Point could increase C3and C4level of CFS patients with syndrome of qi-blood deficiency symptoms.
