The Study On The Factors Influencing Patients Trust Doctors And It’s Promotable Strategies

In recent years,the progress in medicine in our country is delectable, medical technology is rising quickly, medical equipment is improving gradually, health care reform have also made remarkable achievements, doctor-patient relationship is harmonious, this is the mainstream of the development of medicine. but it also has some not harmonious phenomenon in the mainstream. For example, the cases about doctors who are beaten to injury, disability or death appear in newspapers frequently. The strain on doctor-patient relationship has yet to ease. Many factors influence doctor-patient relationship, trust is one of the key factors. Doctors don’t dare to look up patients boldly, patients don’t dare to see doctors, doctor-patient trust are falling down sharply and freezing into ice. How to enhance trust between doctors and patients, improve the doctor-patient relationship has become a hot research focus. The crisis of doctor-patient trust also reflects serious crisis of social trust of China.Our country is in the period of social transition, the traditional system is broken with gradually disintegrating of old trust mechanism while the new system has been established, but the new system still need to be tested and approved. With frictionating and integrating constantly in the transition, social crisis appears, crisis of doctor-patient trust is one of outstanding problems in transition period, the special relationship between doctors and patients determines the core status of doctor-patient trust. Compared to the west, the study on trust starts later in China. Comprehensiving the study on doctor-patient trust, the author found that studying doctor-patient trust with theories of trust is still in the relatively early stage of development, it need further study. At the same time, as the initiator and builder of doctor-patient relationship, patients stay in a weak position who have no exclusive resources on medical technology. This study thinks that weak position is the root of trust, research on weak position has its inevitability, but it is lock of study about patients trusting doctors.What factors affect patients to trust doctors and how to improve patients’trust to alleviate the crisis of doctor-patient trust? This study will put trust mechanism into the research of doctor-patient trust to discuss the factors influencing patients trust doctors from the view of patients’, Analysing the necessity and particularity about the research of patients trust doctors without denying the importance of trust from doctors to patients:The fracture of traditional culture; the general trust which is to adapt to contemporary society has not been established; patients who have improper expectations under asymmetric information, and the consciousness and health needs strengthening gradually; doctors who work in serious practice environment with low work satisfaction and have weak humanistic concept; medical and health system, public opinions and other factors. Some countermeasures are proposed to enhance doctor-patient trust:Strengthening doctor-patient target community consciousness; strengthening doctors’moral self-discipline, stressing the cultivation of humanistic concept; focusing on the medical and social prognosis; establishing and perfecting the legal and health system of medicine. It aims at building the common trust from patients to doctors and alleviating the crisis of doctor-patient trust effectively.
