As “Chinese hot” rises all over the world, Thailand has become an importantcountry of Chinese international promotion career, which receives the most Chinesevolunteer teachers in the world at present. Chinese volunteer teachers are devotingthemselves to Chinese international educational career by one batch after another.So it must be imminent to study how to ensure the best Chinese teaching effect.Based on the previous research, based on the investigation of literature,questionnaire, interview and observation, as well as author’s widely collectedfirsthand materials from June,2010to March,2011in Somdet Pittayakom School,this paper tries to find out problems existing in Chinese teaching of SomdetPittayakom School. Accordingly, the paper makes analysis of factors affectingChinese teaching effect in Thailand secondary school and discusses how to improveChinese teaching quality so as to provide some ideas and skills support to Chinesevolunteer teachers who come after us.This article is divided into five parts, the first part is the introduction about thetopics, research status and existing problems, the object and scope, theoreticalapproaches and ideas of the study; The second part demonstrates students’ factorsfrom the students’ gender, age, Thai fluency and learning motivation on the effect ofChinese language teaching. The third part mainly combined with data of threeteaching methods and two typical teaching cases, including the "songs" teachingmethod, the "direct translation" teaching method and the "performance" teachingmethod which affect Chinese language teaching effect. The fourth part is about theauthor’s thinking on Chinese language teaching of secondary school in Thailand. Thefifth part is the conclusion of this paper.
