A Study On Urban Historical Geography Of Kaiyuan During The Ming And Qing Periods

The ancient city of KaiYuan is located in northern of Liaoning province.It’s oncean important traffic city from north to south in history.Since the city was built in LiaoDynasty,KaiYuan was developped in Jin and Yuan Dynasty.Finally the city was laidthe scale of KaiYuan now in Ming and Qing Dynasty.KaiYuan was the heart ofthe northern of LiaoNing military town in Ming Dynasty.With the constant change ofthe political and economic situation,KaiYuan became a county town in QingDynasty.Especially along with the continuous development of HeiLongjiang andJiLin area,the ancient city of KaiYuan gradually declined, a new city relies on therise of railway replaced her soon.This article attempts to probe into the development of KaiYuan city,the internalspace of the city structure evolution in Ming and Qing Dynasties from the city ofhistorical geography perspective, and summarizes the rules.At the same time, I hopethat it can provide some reference to the renovation of the old city now through theresearch.The thesis is composed of four parts:The first Part is the introduction. This papermainly espounds the reason of selecting this topic, the research significance, thepresent situation of the research,the research methods and the shortcoming.The second part of this paper is the first chapter. Firstly, it analyzes in the risinghistory of the ancient city and the geographical situation from the macroscopicaspect.Secondly,it discusses development of the ancient city of human geographybackground in detail from terrain，climate and traffic,the three microscopic aspects,so that reveals the rising of city and the development of the geographic bacsis.The third part of this paper is the second chapter. It mainly discusses thedevelopment and evolution of the ancient city KaiYuan in Ming Dynasty.Firstly,it is abrief introduction of KaiYuan about the development of city before MingDynasty.And then it introduces the administrative hed of KaiYuan in MingDynasty,the plane layout of the ancient city,the internal space structure of city,fromwhich we can see that KaiYuan is a military city in Ming Dynasty.Because of this,itdecided the military function position of KaiYuan.The fourth part of this paper is the third chapter. It mainly discusses thedevelopment and evolution of the ancient city KaiYuan in Qing Dynasty.It emphatically analysis the facilities distribution of changes and the developmentevolution characteristics of KaiYuan.And analyzes the cause of the dual structure ofKaiYuan urban pattern in later Qing Dynesty.Finally,the articles briefly introduces theancient city of KaiYuan after the Republic,in order to revealing the evolution processof KaiYuan in Qing Dynesty.
