Listening is a very important skill in daily communication. One cannotcommunicate with another if he cannot listen and understand well. And listeningcomprehension class is for training student’s listening ability. It is obvious importantfor the language learners, especially the intermediate listening comprehension class.During this period, language learners begin to train their listening ability with longerand more communicative listening text. And they will get greatly improvement if theyare trained well. Intermediate listening comprehension class takes important steps toexcellent listening skills. But there are still many problems in the intermediatelistening comprehension class: owing to listening input is the main part of the class,teachers are always thrown into a passive position and difficult to make classatmosphere lively and interesting. As for students, long listening materials often makethem lose confidence and interest for the class.In order to solve this problem, in accordance with Schema Theory we designed ateaching method for intermediate listening comprehension class, including how toteach vocabulary、sentences and text. Then we apply this schema teaching method tolistening comprehension class practice. Through observing the class、recording thereaction of students and gathering tests data, we approve this schema listening methodis not only feasible for intermediate listening comprehension class but also canimprove listening comprehension skills of the students.
