Peer conflict resolution strategy is defined as all sorts of behavior and means adopted byindividuals when they oppose peers in order to stop the confrontation. It is not only animportant social skill of children, but also a significant indicator of the level of socialdevelopment. Researchers at home and abroad have done a lot of researches on peer conflictresolution strategy, but most about the influential factors, less about the promotion courses.This kind of researches on children is especially rare, and never concerns the characteristics ofdifferent children. Therefore, combined with the children’s own characteristics, design a set ofeffective programs to promote children’s conflict resolution strategy has become a pressingmatter of the moment.The study selects139children from3to5years old randomly; male and female ratio isequal, using a hypothetical story interview to investigate the developmental characteristics ofchildren. Then selects two grades (a total of103children) to join in the promotion research.Before the experiment, using the method of questionnaire, peer nomination and hypotheticalstory interview to test children’s temperament, social status and peer conflict resolutionstrategy, explore the relationship of the three to provide a basis for the promotion. Aftercompleting the design of promotion courses, select two classes as the experimental group andanother two as the control group. When the promotion program is finished, compare thechanges of two groups on peer conflict resolution strategy; discuss the effectiveness of thepromotion.The results show that:(1)3~5year-old children’s peer conflict resolution strategy scoreand quantity increase with age. Compared with boys, girls’ conflict resolution strategy ismore positive, and the number of strategy is more.(2) The score of rejected and neglectedchildren’s conflict resolution strategy is significantly lower than the popular and generalchildren, and should be focused on. Compared with the popular and general children, rejectedchildren’s emotionality and activity scores are significantly higher, attention score issignificantly lower. Compared with the popular and general children, neglected children’sreaction score is significantly lower and social inhibition score is significantly higher.(3)Exclude the neglected children, peer conflict resolution strategy score is negatively correlatedwith emotionality, activity, social inhibition, and positively correlated with reaction, attention.Exclude the rejected children, it is positively correlated with reaction, and negatively correlated with social inhibition.(4) The promotion courses based on children’s temperamentis effective. The peer conflict resolution strategy score of children from the experimentalgroup has increased, and their social status and certain temperament have been improved.
