Sense of humor as a trait of individual can promote positive interaction between theindividual, and it mainly covers three aspects in humor comprehension, humor response andhumor production. Children’s social interaction objects mainly involve companions.Meanwhile, conflict is inevitable in the process of interaction. A good strategy can improvethe status of children between the groups. Thus, exploring the relationships among sense ofhumor, peer conflict resolution strategy and peer status plays an important role in children’sdevelopment of personality and sociality.399preschool children were studied in the present study using questionnaire methodcombined with scenario experiment. First of all, using questionnaire to investigate thecharacteristics of the development of preschool children’s sense of humor. Secondly, usingthe design of peer conflict situational experiments to explore the developmental trends of peerconflict resolution strategy. Last, exploring the relationships among sense of humor, peerconflict resolution strategy and peer status, and establishing the structural model. The results show that:(1)3~5year-old children’s sense of humor and its componentsincrease with age, but the trends are different, and the4-year-old is a critical period ofdevelopment of sense of humor.(2)There is no gender difference in the development of senseof humor, but exists the interaction of gender and age.(3)There are developmental differencesbetween the three dimensions of children’s sense of humor. With the age increasing, the girls’humor response and boys’ humor production gradually developed.(4)Main effect of peerconflict resolution strategy in age is significant as well as the gender. In different contexts ofconflict, the interaction between gender and age was significant, but the interaction betweenage and gender was not significant.(5)There is a significant positive correlation betweensense of humor and positive strategies score. Meanwhile, there is a significant negativecorrelation between sense of humor and negative strategies score.(6)There is a certain degreeof correlation between peer conflict resolution strategies and peer status, the use of positivestrategies can effectively predict children’s peer acceptance.(7)Established a structuralequation model among in sense of humor, use of positive strategies and peer acceptance.Sense of humor can influence peer acceptance by using positive strategies.
