Li Rui, a writer obsessed with folk writing in Chinese contemporary literary world, has created his own regional literature world through his persisting in the expression of" human existence ". Li Rui not only proceeds to the folk explanation in an unwavering underlying position, but also gives a realistic criticism to the rational height, which, made his work always presents a " solemn and heavy " style. Different from the fantastical wildness in GaoMi Northeast countryside of Mo Yan’s works, the antiquated tradition in Shangzhou, Shanxi province of Jia Pingwa’s, the original magic in Maqiao, Xiangxi of Han Shaogong’s, Li Rui’s literary kingdom locates in Luliangshan, Zigong silver city and Tianshi countryside, of which all harbor dreary and introverted regiongal culture characteristics. Concerning about the civil individual survival state, Li Rui holds " refused chorus " attitude to the harm done by the public to individuals. Observing the underlying life outside history, he disputes questioned voices to the official history writing. Retrospecting the suffering history in modernization process of Chinese nation, he renews the disappeared stories with the lapse of time. Possessing a Lu Xun-like style of" feel cold in fiery atmosphere ", he reveals the folk which is not suppressed by political repression, not obscured by didacticism, and not assimilated by any justice. Consequently, Li Rui pays attention not only to China’s indigenous folk, but also to the significance of" Starting from individuals to ask the universal human dilemma " with his endeavor of" Express profoundly with Chinese characters "This thesis discusses the following aspects on Li Rui novels’folk writing.Introduction:Discuss Li Rui’s literature creation and research status so as to clear the significance of the topic of this article. Part Ⅰ:Expound " literary folk " and " folk writing " mainly according to the concept put forward and controversy of the " literary folk " as well as the significance of the " folk writing ". Part Ⅱ:Describe the survival state in Li Rui’s folk world, focused on the main object of Liiliangshan literature region in the following three aspects. First, the suffering of the folk. Based on the pursuit of two basic needs of food and sex, reveal the fact that original human suffering still exists in the modern society such as an entry point to Li Rui’s description. Second, the silence of civil society. Reflect on the squashy and thick land from the confined space of mountains, the backlog of long history, the conventionalism of traditional concept. Third, the splitting folk. Reveal the agriculture depression in the wave of industrialization. Part III: Life vicissitudes of folk’s foreign intruders. This part mainly analyze three types of characters:First, the educated youth. Rethink about the relationship between intellectuals and folk from the relationship between Enlightenment and Counter-Enlightenment, the identity confusion and ideal loss of educated youth. Second, the revolutionaries. Analyzing two types of characters who are " revolutionary self-flagellation patients " and " revolutionary fantasy-type patients " to prove the folk suppression suffered from extreme revolutionary idealism. Third, the infidels. Trace Chinese modern history (the Boxer Rebellion as a starting point) back to confrontation scene between Chinese folk and Western in the early twentieth century to reveal the power of a traditional folk belief. Part IV:Li Rui’s folk stance and folk recognition. Mainly from the following two aspects:First, discuss Li Rui’s sticking to folk underlying standpoint and how the folk fatalism color flashes in his works. Second, primarily comb the emergence and development of the concept of" identity recognition " as well as the influence on Chinese Writers localization writing.
