The foam flotation has a history of one hundred years,however the flotation separation of copper-lead-zinc sulfide has been a problem in mineral processing. Dichromate has been used as galena depressant for the copper-lead separation in traditional techniques majorly. But during this process a large amount of dichromate has been used, and created a lot of Cr6+ions, leading to serious environment pollution. In this paper, the mixed concentrate of copper-lead and the green ore from Nanjing ore of lead-zinc-silver was studied.while copper-lead separation of laboratory test was achieved, we practiced in industrial production to promote the development of good process, to reduce the amount of potassium dichromate and the harm to the environment.A detailed process mineralogy has been tested on this ore, the results showed that the mineral structure was complex, oxidation rate and copper grade volatile and the composition of the ore was of complexity and diversity. Metallic minerals resided in the shape of galena, sphalerite, chalcopyrite and covellite, while silver ores were with various and complex occurrence, mainly resided in the form of silver tetrahedrite, argentite and silver telluride. Butt of the ore minerals embedded in complexity, disseminated fine-grained, single dissociation was low, they’re negative to the flotation separation of copper-lead-zinc minerals.According to the process mineralogical study results, we had a system tests on mineral separation. The results showed that using the new technology of depressed lead float copper with Z-200as the copper collector to separation the copper and lead, the combination of lead depressant (potessium dichromate+CMC).We have been the small closed test to the mixed concentrate of copper-lead from production practice. With the mixed concentrate of copper-lead that has a copper grade of3.20%, a lead grade of50.80%and a silver grade of4200g/t, it’s obtained the copper concentrate with a copper grade of17.83%, copper recovery of84.25%, and a lead grade of6.58%, lead distribution rate of1.96%, as well as a silver grade of18850g/t, silver recovery of67.86%; And the lead concentrate with a copper grade of0.59%, copper distribution rate of15.75%, and a lead grade of58.68%, lead recovery of98.04%, as well as a silver grade of1590g/t, silver recovery of32.14%. The new technology of copper-lead flotation separation is well. In order to checking the new technology, we test the the green ore. With the green ore that has a copper grade of0.12%, a lead grade of1.17%and a silver grade of110g/t, it’s obtained the copper concentrate with a copper grade of18.45%, copper recovery of59.95%, and a lead grade of7.57%, lead distribution rate of2.52%, as well as a silver grade of15800g/t, silver recovery of56.02%; And the lead concentrate with a copper grade of0.58%, copper distribution rate of7.30%, and a lead grade of58.90%, lead recovery of76.52%, as well as a silver grade of1010g/t, silver recovery of13.83%. The results showed that separation efficiency and adaptability of the new technology of copper-lead, and the target location is excellent.When the new process is used in Nanjing ore of lead-zinc-silver industrial practice, the results showed that the new process uses a combination of depressant (potassium dichromate+CMC), has good depressant to galena, while the amount of potassium dichromate was in a lower level, we can achieve effective separation of copper-lead, and separation effect was very well.-Greatly reduce the copper-lead separation operation of Cr6+in waste water content, it is conducive to wastewater recycling. Significantly improved the economic, social and environmental benefits. It provide a basis for the type of high copper low lead complex polymetallic sulfide ore flotation separation, comprehensive utilization of mineral, improve the comprehensive utilization of mining enterprises.
