Infertility,a global public health issue, has significant social, economic and personal effects.Recent years, the prevalence of infertility progressively rises,of which the tubal factor involved accounts for nearly1/3female infertility.Traditional Chinese medicine, featuring diagnosis and treatment, also multi-administration approaches, meets satisfactory outcomes. This paper consists of two parts:literature review and analysis of clinical data. The first part is the literature review. The contents mainly lie in the factors which cause diverse changes of the fallopian tube in differentiated understanding according to modern medical science and traditional Chinese medicine.Four sections included:the physiological structure and functions of the fallopian tube, perspectives of modern medicine science, perspectives of ancient and modern Chinese doctors, and a discussion. The second part comes the analysis of clinical data. Objective:Fulfill an analysis of the effects resulted from integrated Chinese herb therapy toward the patients suffering from tubal factor infertility with a history of ectopic pregnancy, summarise the differences among the elements affecting the outcomes;Make an observation on the difference between the results of the EP group and no-EP group;Evaluate the safety of integrated Chinese herb therapy. Methods:Collect and select cases according to set lines, then carry out a statistical analysis to get conclusions.Results:Of34patients enrolled,22received a spontaneous pregnancy consisting of17normal intrauterine pregnancy,4miscarriages and1recurrent ectopic pregnancy.12patients remained unpregnant and reexamined with hysterosalphingography. The results showed that only4of the12unpregnants improved. The total effective rate is73.5%while the normal intrauterine pregnancy rate achieves50%.During the treatment, blood and urine regular tests together with the biochemical indexes showed no anomalies.Conclusions:(1) The integrated Chinese herb therapy reveals a reliable safety.(2) Age.treatment periods, history of induced abortions and EP treatment varieties do not influence the outcomes.(3) Among the patients who had recurrent ectopic pregnancies, the effect is significantly lower than the others.(4) The period waiting for a spontaneous pregnancy extended when it comes to the females aged above30.(5) Miscarriage rate rises in patients who bear unilateral hydrosalpinx while the conception rate equals to the no-hydrosalpinx ones.(6) Whether a history of ectopic pregnancy exists, the integrated Chinese herb therapy receives a similar outcome in tubal-factor-infertility troubled women.
