Guangzhou Based On An Egg, Jixi, Xi 'an Dialect Tone Experimental Research

This paper concentrates on the tune of Guangzhou, Jixi, and Xi’an by the method of experiment.It includes studies on the mono-syllable and the bi-syllable tone from pitch and duration.And It also includes studies on phonation types.The experimental studies extract baseband data of the word EGG signal of Guangzhou, Jixi, and Xi’an dialect using the Real time-EGG software.It extracts20frequency data in every word segment by the MATLAB7.1programm ’shijianguiyi.m’. In this process,the acoustic data such as FO and duration are firstly collected;and the normalization of these data is then conducted. We can get the conclusions that(1) Guangzhou’s mono-syllable tone pattern is that the tone pitch of Yinping is55, Yangping is31,Yinshang is35, Yangshang is24,Yinqu is44, Yangqu is33, Shangyinru is5, Xiayinru is4, Yangru is3.The duration patternof mono-syllale tone is Yangqu>Yinqu>Yinping>Yinshang> Yangshang>Yangping>Yangru> Xiayinru> Shangyinru.(2)Jixi’s mono-syllable tone pattern got in the experiments is that the tone pitch of Yinping is51,Yangping is55,Shangsheng is24,Yinqu is35, Yangqu is33,Rusheng is32.The duration pattern of mono-syllale tone isShangsheng>Yangqu>Yangping>Yinping>Yinqu> Rusheng.(3)Xian’s mono-syllable tone pattern got in the experiments is that the tone pitch of Yinping is31, Yangping is25, Shangsheng is52,Qusheng is55.The duration pattern of mono-syllale tone is Qusheng> Yangping>Yinping> Shangsheng.This paper gets a criterion of differentiating phonation types of Chinese dialects,from the comparison theory of linguistics.We contrast modal voice to other voices,and differentiate phonation types using open quotient firstly,open phase/closed phase,jitter,and speed quotient. We research on phonation types of the tone of Meixian,Fuzhou,Changsha dialect in criterion-level method and DEGG method. We can get the conclusions that:(1)the main bi-syllable tone types of Guangzhou dialect are:Yangping in the front of Yinping, the lowering tone will chang to the level tone; Shangyinru in the front of Yinshang, the flat tone will change to the falling tone;Yangqu to go after Yinping, the flat tone will change to the falling tone; Xiayinru to go after Yangping, the flate tone will change to the rising tone;Yangru to go after Yinping,Yinshang,Yinqu,and Shangyinru, the flat tone will change to the falling tone.(2) the main bi-syllable tone types of Jixi dialect are:Yinping in the front of the tone,the rising tone will change to the level tone; Shangsheng in the front of the tone,the rising tone will change to the falling tone; Yinqu to go after the tone, the level tone will change to the falling tone; Rusheng in the front of the tone,the falling tone will change to the level tone; Yinping to go after of Yinping and Shangsheng, the level tone will change to the falling tone; Yangqu to go after of the tone, the level tone will change to the falling tone.(3) the main bi-syllable tone types of Jixi dialect are:Yinping in the front of Yinping,the falling tone will change to the rising tone.This paper gets a criterion of differentiating phonation types of Chinese dialects,from the comparison theory of linguistics. We can get the conclusions tha:(1)the front parts of Yinping and Yinqu of Guangzhou are normal voice;the last parts are breathy voice; the Yangping, Yinshang, Yangshang, Yangqu, Shangyinru,Xiayinru and Yangru are normal voice.(2)the front of every tone of Jixi are normal voice,but the last parts are creaky voice.(3)the front of Yingping of Xian is normal voice.but the lasts part are creaky voice; Yangping,Shangsheng and Qusheng are normal voice.
