Teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, a characteristic education thought,can be seen as a peculiar treasure from ancient China. As early as the pre-Qin period,Confucius, the great educator Confucius in China, has recognized the individual differencesof students, and taught different students with different teaching methods and requirements inthe practice. This kind of education thought has been concerned and advocated in the historyof our education. With the complete implement of “New Curriculum Criterion”, muchattention has been paid to the Chinese teaching in junior middle school, the aims of which are“to cultivate the students’ language using ability, to improve students’ comprehensive qualities,to form correct view of life and healthy personality, and to lay the foundation for students’all-round development and lifelong development”. In the background of recent, thedifferences of “aptitude” in “teaching students in accordance with their aptitude” not onlyrefers to the differences of individual, but also that of students’ genders, and the educationresources. Therefore, Chinese teaching in junior middle school should be carried outaccording to the different “aptitude” of different “teaching”.“Teaching students in accordancewith their aptitude” has its necessity and applicability in Chinese quality education of middleschool.Firstly, owning to the differences of qualities, environments, education, and subjectiveinitiatives, physical and mental developments differ form one individual another, whichrequires us to teach students by the individual difference in Chinese teaching. The tutorsystem in class teaching system establishes the target stratified teaching in the aspects ofteaching process and evaluating targets, which effectively foster the development of differentstudents.Secondly, gender performs obviously different in junior high school. On the basis ofsubjective differences in students’ psychological development and its reason, teaching bygender is carried out, aiming to cultivate healthy personality. Especially, it is vital to theteaching of writing in junior middle school. According to the teaching of gender differences,teachers can board the scope of proposition, organize composition both males and femalesand implement different evaluations to improve the quality of writing teaching.Thirdly, teaching resources in China have obvious differences especially in that of a city and a countryside, which influences the comprehensive learning in Chinese teaching deeply.Therefore, schools located in the mountains should accord with the exact conditions todetermine appropriate to topics and to develop special activities so as to improve the students’abilities to discover and fix problems. Through the implementation of the above strategies,teachers can achieve the goals of comprehensive learning in junior middle school.All in all, Chinese is the basis of the whole quality education owing to its particularadvantages and provides a premise for students to learn other subjects. Consequently, forevery Chinese teacher, he or she should excavate students’ differences to carry out“difference” teaching, which have a great significance to improve the quality of teaching.
