Through the development of the national economy, the activities of the various projects is increasingly common, and engineering activities tend to undermine the role of the geological environment of the mountain plays. Slope stability analysis of the problems often encountered in various construction, it is related to the level of safety and economic benefits od the project construction. Accident due to slope instability, uncontrolled case is not uncommon. This paper takes the slope of Honghe County Guantang Street in Yunnan as the investigated subject. Combined with the geological environment of the surrounding area and landslide-depth study of the formation mechanism and its stability of the landslide.According to such a systerm:"from introfuction geological background and landslide mechanism analysis and stability checking and slide numerical simulation and conclusion", Studied the stability of the slope of Guantang Street in natural, saturated, and the earthquake.Firstly, through on site investigation and collection of the landslide survey data analysis, grasp of the basic characteristics of the landslide. Secondly, sunned up the failure mechanism of the landslide through analysis manpower activity and terrain physiognomy and hydrogeology and earthquake and stratum lithology etc. Last, select4profiles use limit equilibrium method to calculate the stability of three different operating conditions of the landslide, and establishes FLAC3D model to study deformation characteristics with the cross-section1-1’. And reproduction of the deformation law revealed by the monitoring points, to further explore the problem of the landslide.
