The Xinhua Middle School Houshan landslide is a large-scale landslide.The three-step collapsing accumulative body on the original slope forms three independent and interrelated secondary landslide bodies under the influence of rainfall and groundwater.Landslides have appeared in partial collapse of shallow soils,especially in the trailing edge and in the middle of the landslide.Tensile cracks appear and intensify during heavy rain.Once a collapse disaster occurs,it will pose a threat to the lives and property of residents.This paper relies on the management of geological disasters in Houshan Landslide of Xinhua Middle School in Qianjiang District of Chongqing Municipality.Combining the results of on-site investigation with previous survey data of the area,the qualitative and quantitative methods are used to analyze the stability of the landslide as follows:1.The shape of the landslide profile is slightly “slow-steep-slow-steep-slow-steep” and has a “dustpan” shape overall.Formed by the landform,stratum structure,water and other common effects.2.Using the limit equilibrium method,the stability coefficient of Xinhua Middle School landslide under natural,rainfall,and earthquake conditions was calculated.The results show that: under natural conditions,the landslide is basically stable,and the downslope in storm conditions is not stable.3.Using FLAC3D to simulate landslides,sporadic plastic zones occur under natural conditions,and failures are not formed.The risk is relatively small.Partial plastic zones are formed under storm conditions and are likely to cause damage;they appear completely under seismic conditions.The penetrating plastic zone is already unstable at this time,and there is danger of instability.4.According to the basic characteristics of Xinhua Middle School's Houshan landslide,it puts forward reasonable measures for its prevention and control.
