Method Research And Practice Of Geographic Information Sharing And Web Services Interaction Based On Google Maps

Geographic information not only is widely used in various fields of the economy,transportation, military, and is contacting with the public life more and more closely as importantbasic information. With the rapid development of computer and network technology, especiallyGoogle Maps service provides a new spatial information service experience to the public. Theindustry of geographic information is developing to the social and popular direction. There aretwo outstanding problems in the development process: First, geographic information resources inthe field of different industries is increasingly rich, but the shared usage of the public is not high,there is contradiction between the a geographic information supply and demand; second, theresource of open web services on the Internet is increasing quickly, but the industry ofgeographic information is still in the "information silos pattern".Aiming at the two outstanding problems in the development process of geographicinformation industry, the paper uses the Google Maps as a general web map service platform,and uses web services technology to achieve geographic information sharing in the platform. Itintegrates the resources of web services on the Internet. Its purpose is to research a multi-serviceintegrated platform for the public. The platform integrates geographic information services withpersonalized applications. The main work and innovations are as follows:1. The paper researches the core technology and working principle of Ajax, use Ajaxengine as an intermediate agent. It proposes an integration method between the Google Mapsservice and web services on the client-side. It separates the background data calls and the webmap shows to reduce the burden of server-side.2. The paper researches the technology of Google Maps services and address matching,proposes the address matching method based on Google Maps to realize the path analysis onGoogle Maps.3. The paper researches the service-oriented geographic information sharing mode,designs geographic information sharing and web service integration framework based on GoogleMaps, and designs the data services layer, business logic layer and application presentation layerof the framework detailedly.4. The paper designs a platform to realize the tourism geographic information sharing andthe web service integration based on Google Maps. It explores the design principles of theplatform. And designs the platform’s architecture, functional framework, tourism geo-databaseand tourism geographic information web services detailedly.5. The paper practices the platform with related development tools, to verify the feasibilityof the geographic information sharing and web service integration framework based on GoogleMaps.
