Shanggong gold deposit is located in Luoning County,of henan province,which is the most important structuralaltered rock type gold deposit in xionger mountain ore concentration arer,faults is the main ore-controlling factors, theformation and the spatial distribution characteristics of the ore body in the area are mainly controlled by xionger mountainmantle branch structure,which is the third stage of mantle piume.On the basis of making full use of existing data,combined with the actually field reconnaissance and indooranalysis,based on the theory of mantle branch structure,starting from structure-magma-fluid-mantlebranch-metallogenic,through the analysis of metallogenic characteristics,ore spatial distribution patterns,geochemicalcharacteristics,ore controlling structure and mineralization,initally established the evolution modelof metallogenic,and theore-controlling structure,then carried out a ore prediction in the periphery and deep,the main conclusion as follows.1. Shanggong gold deposit is a typical structural altered rock type gold deposit and multi-stage of hydrothermalactivities and tectonic movements are of great significance for the formation of gold ore bodies. Deep ore-bearinghydrothermal transferred through the fault,with the contral of temperature and pressure in the process of upwardmigration,strong oxidation-reduction reavtion can be happened in the weak tectonic belt, Polystage structuralhydrothermal activityies caused the formation of different types of wall rock alteration,and Au ore bodies formed in thealteration zones. Silicification, sericitization and beresitization are closely related to Au mineralization,wall rock alterationshowing more or less horizontal and vertical zoning.2. Shanggong goid deposit are controled by faults, according to their size, can be divided into Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ gradeore-controlling faults, which grade Ⅰ, Ⅱ grade ore-controlling faults control the main gold-bearing altered rock,ore-bodies occured in industrial zone, to a certain extent, determine the spatial distribution of the ore body,3. Metallogenic material of the shanggong gold deposit originates from the depth of the crust,and controled byxionger mountain mantle branch structure,in the process of migration along the detachment-slip zone,ore-bearinghydrothermal cut-off bye the fault,and the ore-body fomed in the alteration zone.4. Fracture in the area has been experienced many times of tectonic evolutions,especially manifest ascompressive,compress-shear, tenso-shear, According to the nature of the relationship between stress hydrothermal activityand mineralization,we can found that,mineralization before tensile, shear and pressure mineralization mineralization ofpost-tensioned shear deformation characteristics, Ⅲ,controsls the rock-based, although containing alteration andmineralization, but because its small size, the mineralization is weak, unable to form industry mineable ore body.5. Shanggong deposit is a type of detachment-slip zone belong to xionger mountain mantle branch structure, atypical structural altered rock type gold deposit,at present,the ore body is mainly controled by listric fault(F1fault),and theveins are stablity,which shows a better prospecting potential.
