In recent years, with the rapid development of garment processing industry, the requirements of the sewing machine in clothing factory are higher and higher.The weakness that the sewing machine drived by traditional Clutch type motor is more and more obvious.At this time,BLDCM receive more and more attention.It has many advantages such as high control accuracy, simple control, low energy consumption, small volume and convenient maintenance etc. However, China’s current use of Brushless DC motor controller basically is imported from abroad. Doing research of the sewing machine with BLDCM controller has important theoretical and practical significance in order to improve the competition ability of our sewing machine industry and focus on the huge market potential of China Sewing machine industry. The main work of this paper is as follows:1) We Introduces the dc brushless motor’s structure and working principle. Combined with the characteristics of BLDCM and the requirements of the system we design the control strategy of the system.2) According to the conclusion from the theoretical analysis, the control system hardware is designed.We chose MCU XC836as the core controller and introduce the hardware system of every circuit module.3) The software of the system is designed including the control board and the operating board. The whole flow chart is given and some modules make detailed explained.The experimental results show that the sewing machine with BLDCM controller researched by this paper has good performance and simple operation. It is able to fulfill our design requirements and achieve the anticipated target. It provides a good platform for the future research.
