Drilling machines are used in mining shaft. They have a wide range, and a wide rang of applications. During the mining process, due to the different of geology and equipment error, it will cause the problem of deflection and wobble. It will seriously affect the efficiency of the drilling, and even cause difficulties for installation the cement borehole wall. To overcome the limit of geological factors and device itself, the guiding device of the drilling machine must be optimized.Currently, the structure of the guiding device is too simple, and it has limited role and low degree of automation. The contacting plate of the original guide will contact the borehole wall, when large deflection happens. The bearings of guide devices are used in non-standard thrust radial ball bearings with no cage. The device can rely on resistance to rotate freely around the drill pipe. It can not effectively maintain the verticality.Based on the above situation, we have developed a better guide device, it has such function that during the drilling process it always hold the borehole wall tightly, it will remain its vertical degree and improve drilling accuracy. The new guiding device controls three groups of hydraulic cylinders to realize the step by step moving by the hydraulic system. What’s more, the system has overcome the unstable factors in different strata during the drilling process. The hydraulic system can adapt to poor working condition, there is no electrical signals in shaft. After having improved the device’s structure, not only the original structure is optimized, but also a lifting platform is added with hydraulic cylinder installed.The hydraulic system is able to adapt to their poor working conditions, the action mechanism in the cleaning solution can not use electrical signal. After the improvement of the mechanical structure of the device, not only the original structure is simplified, but also a lifting platform is added where hydraulic cylinder is installed on the platform.Firstly, according the guide function, there is a feasibility analysis. Due to the similarity of the factors of working conditions and required functions, draw the design theory from tunnel boring machines(TBM). Secondly, due to the case of the deficiencies of drilling deflection and wobble, design the hydraulic system, act and modify the system calculations, check performance, and select hydraulic components and hydraulic medium.Finally, according to existing hydraulic system, the mechanical structure can be optimized. Use a widely used software Pro-e to draw the part model and assemble into equipment model. Strength check makes the device to reach stress requirements.In this paper, the tradition guiding device of drilling machine is improved to have effectively active guidance and anti-deflection function. This new device is reliable and has high degree of automation, has more ability to adapt to the working condition, with a strong theoretical basis and higher engineering value.
