Objective By detecting the serum levels of HMGB1and hs-CRP in healthypeople, patients with angina and acute myocardial infarction, study their relationshipwith the severity of coronary lesions, and the correlation in reflecting the degree ofcoronary stenosis,to explore HMGB1important value in the diagnosis and treatmentof CHD.Methods Selected281patients with coronary heart disease by coronary arteryangiography and180healthy people to study, they came from Cardiovascular DiseaseDepartment of Gongli Hospital of Shanghai, from December2011to October2012,Of which159cases of patients with angina pectoris,122cases of patients with acutemyocardial infarction. Serum HMGB1and hs-CRP levels were determined byenzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Result The serum HMGB1and hs-CRP of patients with acute myocardialinfarction(AMI) were obviously higher than that of the patients with anginapectoris(AP) of the controls(P﹤0.01). The serum HMGB1and hs-CRP of patientswith angina pectoris(AP) were obviously higher than that of the controls(P﹤0.01).There was a positive correlation between serum HMGB1and hs-CRP in eachgroup patients of CHD(r=0.162and r=0.326,P<0.05).Conclusion The changes in serum levels of HMGB1and hs-CRP are of higheraccuracy in the diagnosis of patients with AMI or AP, as predictors of atherosclerotic heart disease.
