Objective: To study the effects of xuebijing injection on levels of plasmaBNP,TNF-α and CRP on patients with severe sepsis. Methods: Ninety-four patients with sepsis admitted in the Second Hospital ofDalian Medical University from July1,2007to December1,2011were screened andrandomly divided into two group: experimental and control groups.According to thesepsis guidelines of Society of Critical Care Medicine2004,both groups accepted theroutine treatment;the patients in the experimental group were additionally given earlyintravenous drip of Xuebijing injection100ml,twice a day,5days constituting onetherapeutic course, while those in control group were not. BNP,TNF-α and CRP wereobserved before therapy and24h,48h,120h after treatment. Results: A significant improvement of BNP,TNF-α and CRP was observed, compared with that in the control group and that in the experimental group beforetreatment(P<0.05); The levels of plasma BNP and TNF-α were significantly positivelycorrelated in the control group and that in the experimental group (r=0.471,P<0.05);Theplasma BNP and CRP were also significantly positively correlated between two groups(r=0.332,P<0.05).Conclusion: The levels of plasma BNP may be used as the laboratory marker fordetection of sepsis. |
