Objective: Research on the essence of the viscera-state is an important part of thestudy of theoretical system of Traditional Chinese Medicine. There are similaritiesbetween NEI network and The TCM overall concept. For decades, we have made muchprogress of the research on the essence of the viscera-state based on NEI network Alarge number of NEI network related indicators have been introduced into the study ofthe essence of the viscera-state, the research was continually extended and literatures on thesubject increased a lot. But what are the differences among the researches of fiveorgans systems based on various NEI network related indicators. Since the transversestudy reports are still rare. Nowadays, Database and Data mining technology are widelyused in TCM researches; which made large-scale research on the five-organ systemsbecome possible.This research was based on the systematic review of NEI network and visceraessences study. The viscera-state essence research database based onneuro-endocrino-immune network-related indicators was first established. By usingbibliometrics, statistical and data mining methods, explored the intrinsic link betweenNEI network and the viscera-state, found differences between five-organs systems,which is much significant for the research on the essence of the viscera-state.Methods: By using bibliometrics, statistical and data mining methods, analysisthe positions of disease, syndromes, diseases, therapeutic principles and NEI networkrelated indicators with frequency analysis, factor analysis and clustering analysis. Usingthe analysis of association rules, analysis the relationship between high frequency ofdiseases, syndromes, therapeutic principles, combination of disease and syndrome andNEI network related indicators. Results:1. By using the method of bibliometrics analysis on database, the literatureaccumulation curve accords with exponential growth. The research in this field isdeveloping rapidly; the volume of literature is in a sharp increase." Chinese Journal ofintegrated traditional and Western medicine” and other20journals, that wereconsidered to be the most important journals to obtain the NEI network relatedviscera-state essential information.2. By using statistical and data mining methods, analysis the positions of disease,types of diseases, syndromes, therapeutic principles and NEI network related indicatorswith frequency analysis, factor analysis and clustering analysis. Frequency analysisfound high-frequency disease positions, types of diseases, syndromes, therapeuticprinciples and NEI network related indicators. Through the factor analysis，we extracted16factors which eigenvalues greater than1, variance contribution rate was70.845%.Through the cluster analysis, formed4meaningful clustering combinations.3. The use of data mining methods to the analysis of NEI network relatedindicators database, to draw between high frequency of disease positions, syndromes,therapeutic principles, combination of disease and syndrome and NEI network relatedindicators association rules, found that studies on the internal organs have their owncharacteristics. To a certain extent, it is reveals the essence of the viscera-state. Stronglink and moderate link indicators are the focus of current research. Weak link indicatorsare the potential directions further as to reveal the essence of the viscera-state. Themining received a total of19rules, Liver and kidney related syndromes are correlatesclosely with FSH, LH, E2and HPG axis indicators.Conclusion:1.
