| With the rising up of learning Chinese language trend in Vietnam, Vietnamese have been interested in Chinese language and culture more and more. Chinese people living in Vietnam play an important role in connecting between China and Vietnam in terms of language and culture. Similarly, other countries also acknowledge that learning Chinese language and culture meets not only the study demand of ethnic culture but also the demand of social development, especially economic development. Hence, learning Chinese language has multiple meanings. The increasing development of Vietnam economy has promoted Chinese education in Vietnam. This development has promoted the prosperity of not only Vietnam ethnic culture but also economy in a certain manner, making connection with Chinese become perfect, strengthening the cooperation and exchange between two countries.This abstract is aimed at surveying the teaching Chinese language by Chinese people in Ho Chi Minh City,Vietnam, including:1. Situation of teaching Chinese language by Chinese people in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam before reformation and opening period, including situations of schools, study regimes, teacher qualification, academic documents, etc and Situation of teaching Chinese language by Chinese people in Ho Chi Minh City after opening period.2. Investigating study situation of teachers and students via questionnaire surveys delivered to teachers, students of Chinese Centers in Ho Chi Minh City.Via surveys and investigation, this abstract gives out remaining problems and proposes recommendations in teaching Chinese language by Chinese people in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam:1. Improving language environment in and out of school:encouraging teachers and students to use actively Chinese language in and out of class as well as using Chinese as communicative language, building up a healthy language environment.2. Shortage of teachers:Chinese Centers in Ho Chi Minh City should pay more attention to train young teachers, avoid "brain drain". They also should periodically train the profession of existing teachers in order to raise knowledge in professional teaching and Chinese language.3. Old-fashioned teaching documents:relevant authorities should proactively edit study documents for superior classes, also renew existing teaching documents for inferior classes, always refer to diplomatic study documents of China government so as to improve the weaknesses in existing teaching documents.4. Simple teaching method:It is required to apply multimedia teaching method, and various methods in teaching. |
