In recently, the important of integrated usage of tailings have been paid more attention. Insome developed country, they have treated tailings mining as a mining goal, and our countryhasmade a great achievement in this field, but the rate of utilization is still in the low level.In this paper, alunite and quartz recovery form copper sulphur flotation tailings of Zijinmountain have been studied, alunite, dickite and quartz pure mineral flotation test andartificial-mixed mineral seperation test wre studied. Based on the adsorption amount measurementand the infrared spectrum analysis, the mechanism of various flotation reagents were investigated.The copper sulphur flotation tailings of Zijin mountain containing useful components such asalunite, dickite and quartz, they mutual disseminated cemented to form aggregates, are difficult toseparate. Results of single mineral test under the system of sodium oleate and lauryl amine showthat under the condition of pH between8~10, priority lotation alunite, then under acid conditionsbetween pH2~3flotation dickite, seperate dickite and quartz, qualified alunite concentrate andquartz ore concentrate can be obtained. Results of recovery alunite from copper sulphur flotationtailing of Zijin mountain flotation experimental study show that sodium oleate as collector,flotation in alkaline medium, alunite concentrate contained SO320.35%(alunite content52.72%),SO3recovery73.39%can be obtained, alunite concentrate in accordance with a-one qualityrequirements. The quartz sand concentrate of Alunite flotation tailings after reverse flotation andgranulation technology exploration can meet the general flat glass’s raw material qualityrequirements. Deep purification exploration tests of reverse flotation quartz sand concentrate showthat after heat chlorination roasting pretreatment, acid leaching can make SiO2grade more than99.5%, which provided the basis for the further purification of quartz sand in the future.This process can be adopted to recycle most of the useful components from copper sulphurflotation tailings of Zijin mountain(Tailings comprehensive utilization reaches above70%), forZijin mountain mine tailings utilization and built a Mine without tailings provides the technicalbasis.
