Physical chemistry experiment verifies the physical chemistry theory, cultivates students’ precise logic thinking and practical ability. At the same time it plays a connecting role in the college fundamental chemistry experiment system. On one hand physical chemistry experiment consolidates students’ experimental skills of inorganic chemistry, analytic chemistry and organic chemistry. On the other hand it enables students to master the research methods of physical chemistry, important determination measures of physical and chemical properties, and then enhance their understanding of the basic physical chemistry theory. The purpose of physical chemistry experiment is not only making the students master experiment operation skills, but also taking advantage of physical chemistry theories and experimental techniques to solve professional issues, cultivating students’ exploration spirit and innovation capability. But for a long time, the contents of physical chemistry experiment are too old, the teaching methods aren’t precise, lack of innovative and challenging. The experiment result is not accurate and seriously out of the theories’ line. So that students’ interest and motivation in experiment is partly affected. Through the means of physical chemistry simulation system, these problems can be solved. Then students can know the whole process of the experiment in the complete simulated environment. The system deepens students’ understanding of the experiments and instruments running principles. It also can save the cost of experiment. Undoubtedly it can play a important role in promoting physical chemistry experiment teaching.Under the premise of being familiar with the principles and operation, the mainly contents of this thesis are classic experiments of physical chemistry. At first we design the initial model of the program panel with CorelDRAW software, and divide the program templates into modules, map simulated graphics for each module. By Importing and exporting graphics drawn with CorelDRAW vector graphics to the LabVIEW software, we can design custom controls. Each control has the same appearance as real component. Then finish the front panel designing by combining the controls properly. Numbers of controls of physical chemistry apparatus and other equipments are designed for the simulation system. The next task is programming internal procedures with LabVIEW software in accordance with the actual process of the experiment. The internal procedures based on the basic experimental principle and the operation specification; The virtual experiment program is debugged repeatedly after it is completed, so as to ensure high degree of simulation and authenticity of results; After the experiment simulation system can output correct results, modules about tips, warnings would be wrote according to operation guide. So that students learn the principle, the process, the influencing factors and considerations as much as possible. The last step is combining and solidifying the various experiment simulation programs, and generating executable files. We have explored and completed several physical chemistry experiment simulation software which focus on basic experimental measuring technology and classic experiment. The system includes gas cylinders, temperature control techniques, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, and colloid&surface chemistry etc.By means of further research and discussion about LabVIEW software application in physical chemistry experiment, as well as development of physical chemistry experiment simulation system, we have built a more complete physical chemistry simulation laboratory, which can show the actual experiment process completely. It is of practical maneuverability and higher degree of simulation and interactive features. Everyone can simulate experiments operation according to real operation guide. This work has a great significance to virtual technology simulation aided physical chemistry experiment teaching software development.
