Nowadays, under the fast dissemination of visual image, China also has facilitated the phenomenon of globalization vision culture. At present, young people’s values and the global view are affected day by day by the visual culture. Faced with this challenge, the elementary and middle schools arts education has the responsibility affiliation to guide the students to understand and think of the difference between the globalization visual culture and the national culture by the curriculum, thus it causes the students to establish own to take a modern Chinese’s cultural status consciousness. Under the background of the global vision cultural, how to strengthen the cognition of the students in the arts education to the national culture already was the urgent matter of arts education. During the21st century, the global media lets the cultural product and the visual image to be unified; it can create all kinds of rich cultural artistic conception in the society. With the influence of each kind of media and the following media image, the contemporary young people extremely adore to the pop culture. The media image unifies with the pop culture which has attacked native young people to accept and understand the traditional culture, art and social culture. The tradition national culture gradually is fading out from young people’s living conditions. At present young people is facing influence wide spread dissemination visual image, no matter the fit or unfit quality, they are shortage on deficiently resisting and strength of the screening, in addition, when the social authority constructs the construction image significance, often demonstrates the formidable influence, therefore it perhaps creates the edge of inferior culture condition, or the non-national characteristic value idea, nowadays visual image may be the honors which the young people pursues. Faced with this challenge, arts education has the responsibility to guide the students to understand and to think of the difference and the quality between globalization visual culture and the national culture, it creates the connection of outstanding cultural and the contemporary young people’s life thus causes the student to establish own to take a modern Chinese’s cultural status consciousness. Under the background of this kind of vision cultural, through the image teaching, the arts education took the channel of the cultural studying, also has the practical significance and theory value from the discussion of vision culture to the Chinese arts education. This article is describing the social background of visual culture, analyzing the vision culture ideology, and pointing out that the visual culture is influencing our country young people, emphasizing the importance of carrying out the image teaching and arts education in the elementary and middle schools. It also take the visual culture as the background, cutting into the spot from the cultural research, carries on the idea exploration of arts education in the elementary and middle schools. Thus it provides the theory support and the concrete implementation suggestion of the image teaching in the elementary and middle schools’ arts education to. It also causes the arts to be the channel of the cultural study, through the arts education, it guides the students to understand and think of the difference and the quality between globalization visual culture and the national culture, thus it causes the students to establish own to take a modern Chinese’s cultural status consciousness. This article will provide theoretically that how to deal with the image teaching and the visual culture for the Chinese elementary and middle schools’ arts education, also it will provide the theory instruction for the teachers in the elementary and middle schools for arts education.
