In the modern life, people have a higher awareness of labor safety and fashion demands, the Gloves have become an indispensable articles for daily use. In order to satisfy people’s requirement of gloves, jacquard glove knitting machine has developed from semi-automatic and semi-mechanical to full-automatic and full-electronic, and its kinds and functions have also been extended. The full-automatic and full-electronic jacquard glove knitting machine not only can be used for production of ordinary families, but also can be used in mass production of the enterprise,it is widely used in China. Therefore, the novel jacquard glove knitting machine control system has become the Research hot in china, and it is also the Main content in this paper.First, the application background of this paper, the research status of jacquard glove knitting machine control system, the mechanical structure and the weaving process of jacquard glove knitting machine are introduced. Then, the controlled object models and the overall scheme of the control system based on ARM and CPLD are established. The whole hardware architecture of control system is given, the system is divided into data analysis unit,needle control unit, stepper motor drive unit and human-machine interface unit by modularize method. The STM32F407 is selected as the main processor of the jacquard glove knitting machine control system, and the CPLD and STM32F103 are selected as the slave processors. The analysis of weaving process file, the coordinated motion control of spindle AC servo motor, 12 stepper motors, 6 spit electromagnets, 4PC action electromagnets, 2 needle selection devices, and the operation and display of human-machine interface are completed under these processors.The jacquard glove knitting machine control system proposed in this paper has operated in the industrial field almost one year, its stability, reliability, functions, and human-machine interface have been improved gradually. By the field test shows that the gloves jacquard function refers to the full, half and jacquard knitting gloves, knitting speed can reach 1.452 m/s largest, very good to complete the expected development of technical indicators. It also has a higer cost-effective than ever.,with the upgrade of software and hardware, the jacquard glove knitting machine control system based on ARM and CPLD will have a significance.
