A qualified plastic parts depend on four aspects,material selection,mold design,product design,injection molding process,and mold design is particularly critical.In injection molding of the actual production process, due to impact of various complex factors, mold designers are difficult to predict possible defects parts, it must after repeated modify injection parameters,repair mold and test mold to get qualified product,and that obviously can’t meet the requirements of agile manufacturing.Computer Aided Engineering(CAE) technology is used to solve the simulation analysis just mold structure rationality, predict in advance the impact of various factors on the parts,improve mold design quality, shorten development cycle, save production cost, has profound meaning to the production.This study research object isEngine cooling fan cover,this product appearance warping deformation, cooling and other problems in injection molding unable to meet quality requirements.I use Moldflow for filling, maintaining pressure, cooling and warping analysis of the original design scheme, combined with the disadvantages of the existing parts, find out the causes of defects and main influence factors,to optimize injection molding process parameters and mold structure.For this purpose, this topic main research content is as follows:Describe domestic and foreign research present situation and the development trend of injection molding CAE technology, further study of the cause of warping deformation,analysis from material selection,product structure,mold structure and injection molding process etc.Use UG and Moldflow CAD Doctor treat the product model,import the model into Moldflow Insight and build gating system and cooling system,for filling, maintaining pressure, cooling and warpage analysis, predictive the warp factor.Combined with comprehensive research and Moldflow analysis results, propose molding process parameters and optimized mold gating system as the optimization method, establish a new pouring scheme.Enter workshop modify the mold structure and optimize molding conditions,check the parts actual size, product quality certification and verify the CAE software simulation its correctness.Detailed analysis of cooling factor,by changing the cooling state of the mold to study the cooling factor on the cooling time of the plastic parts,put forward the optimization method for improving the cooling system of the mold to shorten molding cycle and improve production efficiency.It has important practical significance in the future of large and medium-sized plastic product development and production, explore a feasible way.
