According to the urgent demand for relevant testing technology of smart substation secondary equipment in manufacture, construction and operation phase, this dissertation exerts an in-depth research on testing technology and develop a test and simulation system. Based on the application characteristics and site requirements of different smart substation, the comprehensive testing system framework has been designed. By utilizing the Real-time Dynamic Simulation, the dynamic closed loop simulation environment which reflects different operating conditions can be realized. Considering the various structures of smart substation, a flexible test system has been developed which can satisfy the need of testing secondary equipment in different smart substations. By developing simulation testing system, further research on the testing technology of smart substation communication system, network performance, the clock synchronization system etc. are carried out as well.The results of this research can effectively enhance the level of the testing technology of secondary equipment in smart substation which is important for promoting the development of smart grid.
