| Objective To compare the difference of threshold estimation determined usingCE–Chirp auditory steady state evoked response (ASSR)and behavioral audiometry in normalears and ears with different characteristic and different degree hearing loss, and to investigatecorrelation and differences between thresholds of CE-Chirp ASSR and behavioral auditory.Methods30normal ears(15people) and144abnormal ears(99people) were tested by CE-ChirpASSR and behavioral audiometry. The correlation and differences between thresholds ofCE-Chirp ASSR and behavior audiometry at0.5,1,2and4kHz were analyzed. Results Thecorrelation coefficients of the thresholds of CE-Chirp ASSR are positively correlated with thethresholds of behavioral auditory in normal and abnormal ears group.(P<0.01). The differences ofthreshold between CE–Chirp ASSR and behavior audiometry at0.5,1,2and4kHz in hearing lossgroups was not statistically significant(p>0.05). Conclusions Thresholds of CE-Chirp ASSRare positively correlated with thresholds of behavioral auditory. CE-Chirp ASSR provided shorterdetection time and better frequency characteristic to the impersonal hearing evaluation for hearingloss.. |
